ABOUT ANGELIQUE JAMES
Angelique James is a therapist, content creator, and alopecia advocate based in Northern Virginia. She holds an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Virginia Commonwealth University and works as a resident in counseling, with professional experience spanning higher education, mental health counseling, and communications. Her LinkedIn profile lists her specialties as connecting with students and providing counseling services, and she has been recognized with leadership and mentorship awards during her graduate training. She is the founder and host of The Baldie Diaries, a podcast and digital platform that explores hair loss, mental health, and identity through honest storytelling and conversations. Diagnosed with alopecia more than a decade ago, James created the space initially to document her own journey and later expanded it into a community-focused resource for confidence, healing, and redefining beauty. She has been featured in health and lifestyle coverage discussing how she learned to embrace her reflection and now helps others navigate similar insecurities.
